Beginning October 1, 2017 – No experience required… We are ALL artists incarnate to create!
” The marble not yet carved can hold the form of every thought the greatest artist has.” – Michelangelo
Joanie Peters invites us all, through the archetypal energy of the artist, to orient to the beauty and mystery awaiting its full expression through art and imagination. For Six Sundays this fall you are invited to make art in community, to engage your right brain, to be supported and to support each other in the process. You can come for one Sunday or all the Sundays.
October 1, 2017 – Love of Lines
We will explore the beauty of a simple line through contour and negative space drawings.
October 8, 2017 – Self Portrait
By combining two or three images that reunite with our soul self we will create a new image to relate to.
October 15, 2017 – Exploring the Masters
The Masters have much to teach us. Through paintings and sculptures we will honour them with our attention.
November 5, 2017 – Wisdom Cards
Using watercolour and collage we will use our intuition to create images that communicate directly to us.
November 12, 2017 – INKscapes
With alcohol ink, yup paper and ceramic tiles we will create an image of our own inner landscape.
November 26, 2017 – Prayer Flags
Using freezer paper and paint we will create personal prayer flags to sustain us through the long Manitoba winter.
All materials will be provided for use in our time together.
